Today, after keeping me waiting for more than a week and violating its own guidelines at the same time, the Petitions group of parliament rejected my petition calling for the public to hear Yulia Skripal’s account of her poisoning on the grounds that it “included confidential, libellous, false or defamatory information, or a reference to a case which is active in the UK courts”. I have asked for clarification in what way it has not met the criteria. In the meantime I have raised a Change petition with the same wording.
